Robotics Workshop 2025 – Application Form

The ESA Academy’s Robotics Workshop 2025 is organised by ESA’s Education Office. It has been developed especially for bachelor students by ESA’s Education Office together with experts from the ESA Robotics Section. As an exception, two sessions will be organised this year: the first one will be held from 20 to 23 May 2025 and the second one will be held from 22 to 25 July 2025. Both sessions will take place at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.

To apply for this training session, please:
1. Fill in the form.
2. Upload a motivation letter (PDF, maximum 1 page, no images).
3. Upload a CV (PDF, Europass format, maximum 2 pages, no images).
4. Upload a formal recommendation letter (PDF, maximum 1 page, including signature, no images) from a university professor or academic supervisor of current university (if it is not possible to receive the recommendation letter from your referee, please ask them to send a recommendation email to academy.training@esa.int before the application deadline);
5. Upload a copy of your transcript of grades for the last two semesters or, if not available, for the previous academic year (PDF).
All answers and documents should be in English (except transcript of grades if not available).

The deadline for applications is 24 February 2025 23:59 CET.

Students should be aged minimum 18 years old. ESA Academy and relevant partners will only appraise applications from students who have no or limited professional experience in relevant engineering, scientific or other space-related topics.

Only students from an ESA Member State, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, and Slovakia are eligible. Canadian students enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution may apply for additional support from the Canadian Space Agency through this Announcement of Opportunity (https://www.asc-csa.gc.ca/eng/funding-programs/funding-opportunities/ao/2023-canadian-student-participation-in-space-conferences-and-training-events.asp). Grant applications must be submitted at least 7 weeks before the course delivery and account creation 3 weeks before the deadline. This additional support is to cover costs that are not already covered by ESA for selected Canadian post-secondary students.
